  • 5 star ratingIt is interesting that the best rated Lobster places in Maine are these little shops and not sit down restaurants, but the lobster rolls are great and the variety of other options is quite nice. Definitely a place to stop by at least once while visiting Maine as they have great food both ready to eat and source ingredients to take home and use for recipes.
The kids got a big kick out of seeing live lobsters in (and out!) of the tank.

  • 5 star ratingTook a trip to Portland in Fall 2016. Best lobster roll in Maine. Good price, sweet and fresh lobster, and really nice folks. I would eat one every single day if I lived there.

  • 5 star ratingFresh food, nice service, great experience. The lobster roll is a must. The shrimp is sooo fresh and juicy. Don't forget the coke slaw to delight your meal. Call 20 mins in advance to have your food prepared. The picture didn't show but they have small dining area in doors and out doors.

  • 5 star ratingHoly lobstah claw!!! I took off my glasses to put them next to the lobster roll just to give an idea of the size. Size does matter, folks and Pine Tree does not disappoint! And none of those pesky fillers, just fresh Maine lobster in a buttered and toasted split top bun just like God intended.

  • 5 star ratingIf you're looking for super delicious and fresh seafood, this is the spot. I got the lobster roll and it was exactly what I was looking for. And I wasn't there to buy raw fish.. but it looked so good! Also super friendly staff. Wonderful place!

  • 5 star ratingStopped on our drive back to NJ and was pleasantly surprised by our find.  We had lobster rolls, seafood corn chowder, clam chowder and fresh oysters.  We also bought fresh fish to grill that evening when we arrived home.  Everything was delicious.  They have picnic tables outside where we enjoyed our lunch.

  • 5 star ratingThis is a nice little shop with lobsters, oysters, and other seafood offerings. They also have wine and other beverages as well as sauces to pair with the seafood, which most people seem to take home to prepare. We opted to dine in and ordered a bunch of oysters for $2+$1 shucking fee each, a lobster roll (cheaper than most), clam chowder, and a couple of enormous cocktail shrimp. Everything was delicious and the oysters, which are locally sourced, were incredibly fresh.

There was a shelf of baked goods with pies that were very tempting that I may go back for.

  • 5 star ratingWe heard this was the place to go for the best lobster in Maine and man oh man, were the reviews right! Concerned they would close before we had a chance to get there, we gave them a call, preordered to have a few fresh lobsters cooked and 20 minutes later they were ready for us. The service was incredible, helpful and warm. We grabbed some butter and wine and brought the lobsters back to our AirBnB and loved every bite. Now I understand why people love lobster like they do- lobster like this is worth every penny!

  • 5 star ratingWe decided to stop after reading the great reviews and we weren't disappointed. We had the lobster rolls and clam chowder and they were both really tasty! We'll come back the next time we're in town!

  • 5 star ratingCame in and ordered a giant lobster cooked for $11 and fresh corn on the cob. Sat at a table in side. They also have outdoor dining. On a budget then try this place. It was so cute inside and had lots of great things. The staff was super helpful and nice. It's right on the highway.

  • 5 star ratingGreat lobster roll with toasted roll.
I don't get to eat lobster roll often being from New Jersey but this was one of the best I've had.
Picnic tables outside. Not a place with inside seating.

  • 5 star ratingGreat fish market. Limited but super high quality selection of local fish and shellfish with huge lobster tanks flanking the side of the store. There is also a nice selection of groceries with an emphasis on seafood (obviously) as well as wine and fancy sodas. Very clean place.

The owner was also super nice and very understanding as our young son was at peak obnoxiousness the day we were in. So thanks!!!

  • 5 star ratingWe came in from flying into Portland, ME on our way to Kennebunkport. This place was the perfect stop between the two to introduce us to our first lobster roll. The roll was grilled and buttered to perfection and the lobster was tender and delicious. What a great find! Run don't walk to this place!
